What age do you accept infants?
LEA accepts infants starting at 6 weeks of age. Our infant program runs through 12 months, at which point children transition to our toddler room.
What is the infant-to-staff ratio?
Our infant rooms maintain a 1:4 infant-to-caregiver ratio — exceeding NJ DCF minimum requirements — to ensure each baby receives attentive, responsive care.
Do I need to provide bottles and formula?
Yes — families provide bottles, breast milk or formula, and any specific foods. We follow your feeding schedule and maintain detailed daily logs of feedings, sleep, and diaper changes.
Is the NJ childcare subsidy accepted for infant care?
Yes. LEA accepts the NJ DFD childcare voucher for infant care enrollment at both Edison and Roselle locations.
Can I tour the infant room before enrolling?

What happens when my baby transitions out of the infant room?
Around 12 months, your child will transition to our toddler room. We handle transitions gradually and communicate every step with parents so it's comfortable for your child.
How do you communicate with parents during the day?
We provide daily written reports covering feedings, nap times, diaper changes, mood, and developmental notes. Staff are also available by phone for any questions.
