Quality Childcare Does Not Have to Break the Bank

Finding affordable childcare in New Jersey is one of the biggest challenges facing working families today. The average cost of daycare in NJ can exceed $15,000 per year — and for many families, that number feels out of reach.

At Little Einstein’s Academy, we believe that every child deserves access to high-quality early childhood education, regardless of their family’s financial situation. That is why we have structured our programs to be accessible through flexible scheduling, competitive tuition rates, and full acceptance of state childcare subsidies.

We do not cut corners on quality to keep costs down. Our classrooms use the Creative Curriculum framework, our teachers are experienced and trained, and our facilities are fully licensed by the NJ Department of Children and Families. Affordable does not mean lesser — it means smart, accessible, and designed with real families in mind.

Whether you are paying out of pocket, using state assistance, or looking for the best value for your childcare dollar, Little Einstein’s Academy has options that work for your family.

Our Tuition Options

We offer multiple enrollment options to accommodate different family schedules and budgets:

  • Full-Time Enrollment — Five days per week, Monday through Friday. This is our most popular option for working parents who need consistent daily coverage.
  • Part-Time Schedules — Two, three, or four days per week for families who need flexibility. Ideal for parents with non-traditional work schedules or those who share childcare responsibilities.
  • Extended Hours — Early drop-off and late pick-up available for parents who commute or work longer shifts.

Tuition varies by age group and schedule. Our infant program, toddler program, and pre-K program each have different rates that reflect staffing ratios and program specifics. For detailed tuition information, visit our tuition and enrollment page or call us directly to discuss pricing for your family’s needs.

We are always transparent about costs. There are no hidden fees, no surprise charges, and no long-term contracts required.

NJ Childcare Subsidies We Accept

Little Einstein’s Academy proudly accepts CCAP (Child Care Assistance Program) vouchers and NJ DFD (Division of Family Development) childcare subsidies at both our Edison and Roselle locations.

These state-funded programs help eligible families pay for childcare so that parents can work, attend school, or participate in job training. If you qualify, the state pays a portion — or in some cases all — of your childcare costs directly to us.

For full details about the subsidy programs we accept and how they work, visit our NJ childcare subsidy information page.

Families receiving CCAP or DFD assistance receive the exact same programs, classrooms, teachers, and meals as all other families. There is no difference in the quality of care. Period.

How to Apply for Free or Reduced Childcare in NJ

If you think your family might qualify for childcare assistance, here is a step-by-step guide to getting started:

Step 1: Check Your Eligibility

NJ childcare subsidies are available to families who meet income guidelines and are working, in school, or participating in an approved activity. Eligibility is based on family size and gross monthly income. As a general guideline, a family of three earning under approximately $60,000 per year may qualify, though thresholds change annually.

Step 2: Gather Your Documents

You will need the following to apply:

  • Proof of income (recent pay stubs, tax returns, or employer letter)
  • Proof of employment, school enrollment, or job training participation
  • Identification for all household members
  • Birth certificates for children who need care
  • Proof of NJ residency (utility bill, lease, or mortgage statement)

Step 3: Apply Through Your County

Applications are processed through your county’s Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agency. For Middlesex County (Edison) and Union County (Roselle), you can apply online through the NJ Department of Human Services or contact your local CCR&R office for assistance.

Step 4: Select Little Einstein’s Academy as Your Provider

Once approved, you choose your childcare provider. Let your caseworker know that you want to use Little Einstein’s Academy, and provide our location information. We will handle the enrollment paperwork on our end.

Step 5: Enroll Your Child

Once your subsidy is approved and we are confirmed as your provider, register your child online or visit either location to complete enrollment. Your child can start as soon as we have a spot available in their age group.

Need help navigating the application process? Our staff has helped hundreds of families apply for and receive childcare assistance. Call us at (732) 985-4700 (Edison) or (908) 241-6200 (Roselle) and we will walk you through it.

Sibling Discounts and Other Savings

We know that childcare costs multiply when you have more than one child. Little Einstein’s Academy offers sibling discounts for families enrolling two or more children at the same location.

Additional ways families save:

  • NJ Dependent Care FSA — If your employer offers a Flexible Spending Account for dependent care, you can use pre-tax dollars to pay for childcare, reducing your overall tax burden by hundreds or even thousands of dollars per year.
  • Federal Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit — Families can claim up to $3,000 in childcare expenses per child (up to $6,000 for two or more children) on their federal tax return.
  • Employer Childcare Benefits — Some employers offer childcare stipends, backup care programs, or enhanced dependent care benefits. Check with your HR department to see what is available.
