Part-Time Daycare: Flexible Childcare for Edison and Roselle Families
Not every family needs full-time childcare five days a week. Maybe you work part-time. Maybe you have a family member who helps two days a week. Maybe you just want your toddler to get some socialization without committing to a full-time schedule.
At Little Einstein’s Academy, we offer genuinely flexible part-time programs — not a one-size-fits-all schedule with a slight discount.
Our Part-Time Options
| Schedule | Hours | Days |
|---|---|---|
| Half Day (AM) | 8:30am – 12:00pm | 3, 4, or 5 days/week |
| Extended Half Day | 9:00am – 3:30pm | 3, 4, or 5 days/week |
| Full Day Part-Week | 7:00am – 6:00pm | 3 or 4 days/week |
All part-time children receive the same curriculum, the same teachers, and the same quality of care as full-time enrollees. The only difference is the schedule.

Who Chooses Part-Time Daycare?
Part-time care works well for:
- Part-time working parents — You need reliable care on your work days but not every day
- Stay-at-home parents — You want socialization and early learning for your child a few days a week
- Families with shared care — Grandparents, a nanny, or a partner covers some days
- Parents easing into daycare — Starting with 3 days helps some families (and children) transition gradually
- Families on a tighter budget — Part-time costs less than full-time, and subsidy programs may still apply
What’s Included in Part-Time Programs
Every part-time enrollment at Little Einstein’s Academy includes:
- Full participation in the Creative Curriculum — teachers adjust lesson plans so part-time children stay on track
- Meals and snacks during enrolled hours — breakfast (AM arrivals), lunch, afternoon snack
- Daily parent updates through our communication app
- Indoor and outdoor play time
- Age-appropriate enrichment — music, art, science, and movement activities
Part-Time at Both Locations
Part-time programs are available at both our Edison and Roselle centers for infants, toddlers, and Pre-K students.
Can I Use CCAP for Part-Time Care?
Yes. New Jersey’s Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) covers part-time care, though the subsidy amount is adjusted based on hours. Many part-time families at our center still qualify for significant support. Read our full CCAP guide or learn about our affordable pricing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch from part-time to full-time later?
Yes, subject to availability. Many families start part-time and transition to full-time as their work schedule changes. We’ll work with you to make the switch smooth.
Do part-time children adjust well?
Most do. Consistent days (e.g., Monday/Wednesday/Friday every week) help children build routines and friendships. Irregular schedules are harder, so we recommend the same days each week.
Is there a minimum number of days?
Our minimum is 3 days per week. This gives children enough consistency to benefit from the classroom environment and curriculum.
